Join us for the 2012 Beverly Benefit Auction!
It’s a lot of fun, and crucial to our school’s continued success. The BCS auction is the primary fundraiser for the BCS Foundation, which is only way for families to pay directly for staffing at our school. The PTA provides materials our school needs, leaving the Foundation to cover gaps in staffing. Last year the auction netted $70,000 to help pay for music, art, a media specialist, foreign language, band and EA support during this school year. The budget situation in Salem is dire and the outlook for next year is even worse. If we want our school to be able to offer anything above just the most minimal curriculum, financial support for the Foundation is more critical than ever.
The good news? You can help! Come to the Beverly Benefit, have fun with your friends, and support our school. Browse the Catalog to see art, local goods and services, and vacation packages up for auction. Each classroom (or each grade, for the older students) is creating a collaborative piece of art for a lucky winner. Under Sign-Up Events you’ll find parties and activities for kids and adults, which you can purchase now!
Can’t make it? Please do consider making a donation to the Foundation regardless – perhaps the cost of the ticket price (or more, if you can swing it). Chances are, when your child dips a paintbrush into a pot of green paint, signs a song about frogs, or learns the word “verde,” money we have raised together as parents through the Foundation has helped to make that happen.
